When its time for you to trade in or sell your vehicle, a small investment
now will mean much more value later.Warning
If you buy another brand, a sloppy fit does more than detract from your
vehicle looks. The bra movement you see can scuff paint, and the flapping,
over time, can put small dents or chips in the finish.
The Road Test
At highway speeds, where you need the most protection, its obvious that
our car bras have been individually tailored to suit the vehicle. The
fit stays snug with no paint damaging flap or flutter!
Maximum Vehicle Protection
For maximum protection you just can't beat a custom-fitted car
bra covers the bumper area (some truck models do not cover the bumper,
to allow for installation of lights, grille guards, etc.) and the leading
portion of the hood area. Custom-fitted car bras take a bit more effort to
install (but not much!), since the hood piece is separate and must be
lined up with the fender area mask for a good, sturdy installation.
But the finished product is worth the effort! We usually screen radiator
openings because we feel it's important to protect as much of the front
area as possible.
If you are worried about using a the custom-fitted car bra due to the possibility
of engine damage, don't worry! We have done plenty of testing over the
years and our testing has confirmed that the screen does not cause
an increase in the engine temperature. There are some car models that
just won't allow the use of screening, but not that many. Some car models,
like Firebirds and some Corvette models, have the hood opening so far
back that a hood piece isn't required. These unique patterns are noted
in our application guide.
It bears repeating - for maximum protection you just can't beat
custom-fitted car bras are a little more difficult to install,
but the finished product is well worth the effort!
Superior Durability and Design
Protective air intake screens are an integral part of the
custom-fitted car bras, not
separate, and they are sewn into the outside of the mask so there are
no loose pieces of material inside to damage the paint surface. Covered
aluminum tabs allow adjustment at the fender wells as the vinyl expands
and contracts because of temperature changes. This prevents damage to
the custom-fitted car bra which means you save money, because you not buying
a new one down the road!
The mask has reinforced air foils that prevent flapping and lift. Because
the front of your vehicle is exposed to so much air pressure as it drives
down the road, this feature is absolutely necessary.
We have also integrated a unique micro-perforated finish on the vinyl
- it allows the mask to "breathe" and permits moisture to evaporate
when the vehicle is driven in wet weather. However, if the
custom-fitted car bra gets
wet, and you decide to leave it sitting in the sun, we recommend that
you remove it from your vehicle so that the backing can dry properly.
To protect your car even more, custom-fitted car bras comes with a heavy-gauge
leather grain vinyl with a soft, protective backing. We use white non-woven
fleece so you can easily see when it's time to clean the back side of
the custom-fitted car bras. Seams are overlapped and finished with a strong, durable top
stitch. Edges are covered with soft, non-abrasive felt-rimmed bindings.
