Love Bugs are a nuisance on the highways of southern states. They splatter onto car grills and windshields during mating flights, usually in May and September. Love Bugs are small flies that are in the process of mating when they swarm over the roads. The tiny flies are attracted to the highways. Usually you see them very dense on the roads between ten a.m. and four p.m. and those hot engines and the exhaust fumes are what attract them there. Their mating flight takes them into the paths of oncoming cars.

Cars driving through these aerial orgies become spattered with these loving bugs. As a result, radiator fins may become clogged causing cars to over-heat. Insects spattered on the windshields can obscure vision, and if the dead insects are not cleaned off, they can ruin the car's finish.
Diamondite® Bug Blocker! is a 21st century polymer compounded to hinder impacted flying insects from damaging vehicle surfaces. The buffered colorless gel is easy to apply safely by hand and provides both a physical and chemical barrier to safeguard the vehicle surface. Bug Blocker! provides a polymer film which impedes direct contact of the impacted flying insect with the vehicle surface. The buffering agents in Bug Blocker! are designed to neutralize body fluids from impacted flying insects. Bug Blocker! is easily removed after use by simply rinsing the treated area with water from a garden hose. Bug Blocker! may be used on all types of vehicle surfaces as well as plastic bug shields, chrome trim and paint protection film.
Bug Blocker! will not allow impacted bugs to touch your paint. The buffered polymer neutralizes acidic bug spatter upon contact and allows the user to quickly and easily remove bug spatter with a regular garden hose. Bug Blocker! is water-based so it is as safe as putting water on your automotive surfaces.
